is an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) and why use one?
There are a large number of Insurance Companies, Mortgage Lenders
and Financial Institutions in today's marketplace, offering a
wide and varied number of products and services. Many of those
Companies will try and market to you the best product and service
that they can offer from their own individual product range. This
does not necessarily mean that it is the best available product
or the most suitable Company for you. As
independent advisers, we source the entire marketplace for you
and then make recommendations based on an unbiased and informed
viewpoint. This means that unlike most Insurance companies and
Bank's salesmen, our responsibility is to work for you, the client,
and not the Insurance Company.
Being
Independent advisers also allows us access to certain exclusive
products, that are not on general release to the public. This
will allow us to add additional value to our research efforts.
The end result being that we have unparalleled access to the marketplace.
We
aim to offer our clients an efficient, friendly professional
service and we offer two different charging structures. The first
is via the traditional method of us being paid commissions by
the Insurance Company for introducing your business to them, if
you decide to go ahead with our recommendations. The second is
us charging a fee based on providing a solution to a specific
need. There are of course occasions when we will use a combination
of the two.
The
Financial Services Sector is stringently regulated by the Financial
Services Authority (FSA). Our Regulator ensures that its members
follow a strict code of practice offering their clients best
advice and following their rules and regulations for best conduct.
